Ghost Pepper Whole Dried Chile Pods

The Ghost Chile, also know as the Bhut Jolokia,  originated in India and measure between ~850,000 to 1,050,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU).  In 2007, it was recognized by Guinness as the Worlds hottest Chile pepper.

Ghost peppers have a sweet, fruity, earthy taste with a long lasting AMAZING hot flavor.  They are generally between 2 to 3 inches long with red being the most common color.  Other rarer varieties are orange, yellow,  and chocolate.  They make a great choice as a main ingredient in hot sauces, salsa, jellies, Indian chili sauces and stews.

These chilies are rich in fiber, low in calories and contain nutrients such as potassium and vitamins A and C.
